ACLC High School Graduation Requirements

ACLC graduation requirements reflect the UC/CSU requirements so our learners have the opportunity to be eligible.

Total Units Required for Graduation: 230

English (40 credits)
• 9th Grade
• 10th Grade
• 11th Grade
• 12th Grade

Math (30 credits)
• Algebra I
• Geometry
• Algebra II
*3 years of math while in High School

Science (40 credits)
• Chemistry
• Biology
• Physics

History (30 credits)
• Modern World History
• U.S. History
• American Government (1 semester)
• Economics (1 semester)

Visual & Performing Arts (10 credits)
• One Year

College Preparatory Electives (10 credits)
• One Year

Foreign Language (20 credits)
• Year One
• Year Two
(must be the same language)

Current Life Issues (5 credits)
• Current Life

Physical Education or ROTC (20 credits)
• Year One
• Year Two

Other Requirements
• Meets or exceeds AUSD/ACLC Graduate Profile outcomes and ACLC Learning To Learn Skills
• Learner Portfolio/Senior Website
• Community Service Requirement (60 hours - Freshman, Sophomore, & Junior year)
• Advanced Coursework/Units of College Credit or AP
• 20 hour Business Internship Experience
• Math High School Exit Exam
• English/Language Arts High School Exit Exam
