"At the end of the day, the key element to a child's success is the positive involvement of the parents in that child's education."
— Jane D. Hull
The Parent Action Committee (PAC) is the fabulous and fun group of committed/involved families who support developing the rich interests, activities and education of our learners.
PAC WELCOMES YOU!
Every parent with a learner at ACLC is automatically a member of PAC, and there are no membership fees.
As a community-oriented school, PAC is a vital part of ACLC because we depend on parent involvement and support to maintain the excellence for which ACLC is known.
ACLC loves and appreciates all that our parents do for our learners and the entire ACLC community!
Role of the Parent Action Committee (PAC):
— To keep parents in touch with each other and the school
— To support learners
— To promote parent involvement
— To create a sense of community
— To organize events
Similar to a PTA, PAC exists to leverage the time, skills and experience of parents for the maximum benefit of the school and our learners. Parents, along with learners and facilitators, are essential to the success of our learning community.
Everyone is invited!
Monthly PAC meetings alternate with some meetings in the morning (8:30-10:30 am) held in the art room of the Boys and Girls Club and others in the evening (6:45-8:45 pm) in the ACLC Center. (Check the ACLC Master Calendar to confirm PAC meeting dates/times)
