Our Management Team
Annalisa Moore became the Executive Director of CLC Schools in July 2017, after having filled several leadership roles at Nea CLC since 2013. She is a dedicated educator with more than ten years of administrative experience and over three years in the classroom. She holds a Masters in Education, a multi-subject teaching credential, and a BA in Liberal Studies with a minor in Youth Services and Administration.
When serving as a Grant Manager with the Alameda Unified School District, Annalisa managed a multi-million dollar budget, oversaw 78 staff, and provided intervention and after-school programs across four elementary schools, two middle schools and two high schools. Annalisa later joined The Academy of Alameda, a start-up charter school, as their Dean of Students in 2011. In this role, she shifted school culture through programmatic reforms that resulted in a significant decrease in disciplinary issues and improved academic performance ratings each year.
Annalisa believes deeply in CLCS's child-centered and project-based approach. As a 4th-generation educator, she has a passion for learning and understands what is needed to support learner success. She is eager to continue developing CLCS's innovative curriculum. Annalisa is also deeply committed the Alameda community and its youth. When she is not busy at work, you can find her at home with her husband and three children.
Theresa Quigley became the Chief Operations Officer in 2013 and oversees work in Human Resources, Facilities, Technology, Risk, Financial Management and more. Theresa has over 30 years of experience in operations planning and management. Before coming to CLCS, she worked in operations at an elementary school in Los Gatos, CA, at a consulting firm for Silicon Valley tech companies, and as a member of the United States Air Force.
Theresa loves project planning and process improvement and she loves serving the children, families, and staff at ACLC and Nea. Theresa has lived in San Jose for 25 years and is a transplant from just outside Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Annahita Rad became the Director of Special Education for ACLC and Nea in 2019, after serving in several administrative capacities at Nea since 2014. As a master teacher, Annahita is passionate about child-centered learning. As Lead Facilitator at Nea, she worked tirelessly to improve instructional practice and always challenged colleagues to work with a lens of equity. Her dedication to a learner-first approach extends outside the classroom to her practice as a member of the Diversity Committee, where she advocates for learners and families and helps create user-friendly school policies.
Annahita has several years' experience supporting Special Education and working with teams on differentiation and accommodations. As an EL Learner herself--English is her third language, after Farsi and French--Annahita understands that a diverse educational community requires a variety of approaches to make learning accessible and meaningful to all. Ms. Rad holds a Master's in Education from UC Davis and a BA in history from UCLA. She is also certified in Business Administration through UC Berkeley, and as a Conflict Mediator through the Restoring Civility Conflict Resolution Program (Los Angeles) where she mentored middle and high school learners to become peer mediators. Annahita has served Alameda youth for the bulk of her career and resides in Alameda with her husband, son, and daughter.
Courtenay Bell joined Nea as Special Education Lead in 2017 and became Special Education Manager in 2019. She received her Master's degree in Special Education as well as her Multiple Subject and Special Education teaching credentials from San Francisco State University. While there she also completed Pamela Wolfberg's "Project Mosaic" Autism Specialization Certification. Courtenay also holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in painting and illustration from the San Francisco Art Institute.
Courtenay has taught a variety of grades and subjects including K-5 elementary, high school English, Biology, and resource, as well as workshops in arts and crafts including puppetry, woodshop and painting. She enjoys working with ACLC and Nea learners.
Kira Foster became the Admissions & Marketing Manager in 2018, after serving as the ACLC School Manager for five years. Prior to joining CLCS, Kira worked as a public health researcher for 12 years at UC Berkeley and UC San Francisco. She holds a PhD in Medical Anthropology.
Kira loves learning, being around young people, and supporting the families and staff at ACLC and Nea. She grew up in Fresno, CA and is the proud parent of an ACLC alum. Having lived on three continents, she finds the ACLC and Nea communities as interesting, complex and vibrant as any in which she has worked or lived.
Samantha Jeandebien joined CLCS as the Crisis Services Manager in 2020. She supports all the safety measures related to COVID, including communications, safety protocols, training, and coordinating onsite safety logistics, as well as other school safety drills and protocols. Samantha has worked in youth development and education for 16 years, most recently as a non-profit Program Manager, where she supported program development, crisis management, and public relations. She holds a Master's degree in Professional Counseling.
Samantha loves reading historical fiction, roller skating, and spending time with her two children, her husband, and friends.
Andrew Szeto became the Administrative & Human Resources Assistant for CLC Schools in 2017. Prior to joining CLCS, he worked in customer service. He earned his Bachelors of Science in Business Administration from San Francisco State University, and is studying to earn his Master's in Business Analytics. Andrew was born and raised in the Bay Area and enjoys everything it has to offer. He loves camping, and was a Boy Scout for eight years, earning the highest rank of Eagle Scout. In his spare time he enjoys playing tennis, bowling, practicing taekwondo, and spending time with his cat, Buster.
