Our Organization

Community Learning Center Schools, Inc. (CLCS)

is a California non-profit charter school management organization with 501(c)3 status granted in 2006.
CLCS owns and operates the following independent public charter schools:

CLCS works to maintain an effective, reliable organizational structure that can support both schools in maintaining our shared values, working toward strategic goals, and improving internal functioning so as to constantly enhance our educational outcomes and support our shared educational mission, which is:

To empower all youth to take ownership of their educational experience, to celebrate their diverse community, and to actively participate as members in a democratic society.

CLCS is governed by the CLCS Board of Directors which is composed of community, business, and educational leaders, as well as facilitators, parents, and learners from both schools.

CLCS encourages the active participation of stakeholders (learners, parents, facilitators, administrators and community members) within our organization. Active participation develops learners, engages families, increases educational quality, and results in a stronger and more vibrant community.

CLCS promotes equity, inclusivity and collaboration among all our various stakeholders and constituents. The chart below outlines the CLCS organizational structure, showing the relationships and functions of our various constituents.
