One of the best things about Nea is our strong sense of community! The PTSA hosts a series of events throughout the year to help Nea families get to know one another better.
This year, the PTSA and Administration will be using an online calendar and app for communicating and managing school events. You can download the school calendar, see upcoming events, communicate with your learner's class, arrange class outings, and communicate with your woforo.
Join Konstella for real time information on events, sign ups, and communications!

Join us in beautifying our campus and perform special projects.
Families welcome. There will be a variety of work suitable for community members of all ages. This is a great way for learners and parents/guardians to fulfill their community service requirements for the year.
Please see the PTSA calendar for scheduled days. We hope to see you there!

GIVING THANKS MULTICULTURAL NIGHT
Multicultural Night is the annual opportunity for Nea families to celebrate and share our school's cultural diversity.
Our annual Multicultural Night coincides with our annual Giving Thanks celebration. Learners will participate during the school day in a Giving Thanks Community Service event. Families will then gather in the evening for a potluck dinner to celebrate our diversity and give thanks for all we have.
We'll enjoy music and dance performances from Nea learners and facilitators.
Everyone is encouraged to bring a traditional dish to share and dress in clothing that reflects your culture's heritage.
NEA'S NIGHT OUT
February 03, 2018 at the O'Club (641 W. Red Line Ave.)
Nea's Night Out is the PTSA's annual fundraising event extravaganza to benefit our learners. This is a great evening for adults only that includes dinner, games, amazing silent and live auctions, and dancing with a fun DJ.
Our goal is to raise $35,000 for our visual & performing arts program and more!
Tickets can be purchased here.
Please contact email@example.com if you can help with the event!
Mark your calendar for April 18, 2018!
Encourage your child to participate in this learner-powered fundraising event, and plan to volunteer during this school day event. It's a blast!
Though the volunteer crew starts planning in early March, the learners get into the act in early April. Learners will have two weeks to enlist friends, neighbors, and family in sponsoring them for the walkathon, as either a per-lap or flat-fee donation. During the event, all learners walk as many laps as they can (5 laps = 1 mile) in the time allotted while listening to music, enjoying healthy snacks, and having fun walking with their friends.
All money raised is used to support Nea's visual & performing arts program, classroom enrichment, technology, and school wide assemblies.
**PAYPAL INFO** - Donations may be made through PayPal, so share this info with any friends, families and neighbors who'd like to pay electronically to sponsor your learner's walk:

END-OF-YEAR crossing over ceremony & PICNIC
To celebrate the end of the school year, we have a "crossing over" ceremony. Each grade "crosses over" (usually running) from one grade to the next - across a field. Afterwards, we have a big picnic.
The 2017-18 Ceremony & Picnic will be held on June 1, 2018!
