California's School Dashboard Explained
California has a new way of assessing local school and district progress known as the California School Dashboard. This new system replaces the former Academic Performance Index (API). The dashboard is being field tested before full implementation in fall 2017.
API scores over 800 for all years since our founding in 2009!
Nea has never made it a practice to "teach to the test." However, since project-based learning is naturally more in depth, it fosters remarkable achievement. Nea learners' API scores have well exceeded the statewide performance target of 800 since opening our doors.
